Hugin

Hugin is an open-source tool based on Panorama Tools for creating panoramic photos from several images taken of the same place.

Ideally, the photos you take will have some overlapping areas to make it easier to establish a few fixed points (areas that match in two or more images). However, the program allows for all kinds of details so you can create the best possible composition, as well as editing actions such as rotate and crop.
